Panama has strongly denied Chinese language affect over canal operations, however has gone together with U.S. strain for the Hong Kong-based firm working ports on each ends of the canal to promote its concession to a U.S. consortium.

Mulino has stated that Panama will preserve the canal’s neutrality.

“They’re free to present and take a visa to anybody they need, however not threatening that in the event you don’t do one thing, I’ll take the visa,” Mulino stated Thursday. He famous that the underlying concern — the battle between the U.S. and China — “doesn’t contain Panama.”
