Earlier this month, U.S. authorities attorneys had requested the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Courtroom of Appeals to remain proceedings within the case as a result of funding for the Justice Division, in addition to the Division of Homeland Safety which is a defendant, had expired due to the federal government shutdown.
