In a letter to a Home committee final month, authorized counsel for Alphabet, YouTube’s guardian firm, claimed that president Joe Biden’s administration sought to “affect” the corporate to crack down on Covid-19 misinformation. Republicans celebrated the letter as an obvious admission of Democratic censorship.
However Democrats appear to be throwing chilly water on the allegations. In a new letter to YouTube CEO Neal Mohan first reported by WIRED, rating member of the Home Judiciary Committee Jamie Raskin shares half a dozen excerpts of transcripts with 20 Alphabet workers.
