The Ministry of Defence (MoD) stated the resting place of Reginald Clarence Rogers, who was born in Kent, has now been marked at Serre Street Cemetery No. 2 in France.
It added that Thomas William Brogan, from Surrey, was commemorated in a particular service at St George’s Memorial Church, Ypres, Belgium.
Rogers enlisted with the Royal Marine Mild Infantry in September 1906.
By the outbreak of warfare in 1914, he had been promoted to corporal and had already served in India, Gibraltar and Hong Kong.
Rogers served with the Royal Marines throughout the battle at Ostend, Dunkirk and within the defence of Antwerp.
Promoted to appearing sergeant-major in Might 1917, he was awarded the army medal for “superb service”, based on the MoD.
