MANILA, Philippines – Fireworks lit up the skies everywhere in the world as 2025 ended and 2026 started on Thursday, January 1.
Folks from world wide bid goodbye to the previous 12 months and hoped for a greater 12 months forward.
Midnight arrived first on the islands closest to the Worldwide Date Line within the Pacific Ocean, together with Kiritimati (Christmas Island), Tonga, and New Zealand.
