Sofia Vergara shares joyful moments with former Modern Family castmates Julie Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson during a casual gathering captured in heartwarming selfies.
Recent Mini-Reunion Highlights
The 53-year-old actress, known for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the long-running ABC sitcom, posted the images on her Instagram on Friday. In one selfie, Vergara gazes directly at the camera while Bowen and Ferguson beam with wide smiles. The group also includes Ferguson’s husband, Justin Mikita, recognized for his appearance in Taylor Swift’s ‘You Need to Calm Down’ music video.
Vergara opted for a stylish, form-fitting brown knit dress paired with a layered brown leather jacket. Her long hair falls straight past her shoulders, parted in the middle, complemented by subtle accessories like small earrings and statement rings. Her makeup features voluminous lashes with mascara, smoky eye shadow, a touch of blush for radiance, and a nude lip tint.
She followed up with an Instagram Story mirror selfie, showcasing her ensemble and holding a tan clutch for the occasion.
Ongoing Bonds After the Show
Bowen portrayed Claire Dunphy, and Ferguson played Mitchell Pritchett in the series, which spanned 11 seasons until 2020. This isn’t their first post-show meetup. In 2023, Vergara hosted Bowen, Ferguson, and Mikita at her mansion. Later that year, she organized a larger reunion including Rico Rodriguez, Ed O’Neill, Nolan Gould, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, and Eric Stonestreet. Ty Burrell joined virtually through a framed photo.
Last October, Vergara updated fans on the cast’s close-knit dynamic. ‘We are still like a family,’ she stated. ‘Everything we do, we are connected in a gigantic chat with all the kids and all the actors. And we’re always watching each other, supporting each other.’
She also reflected on the initial challenges after filming ended. ‘We kind of got separated because we finished, and two weeks later, they closed everything for COVID. We got disconnected really fast.’
Vergara’s Latest Projects
Vergara stays active in her career, recently partnering with Octavia Spencer for the Detect the SOS campaign. The initiative promotes uACR urine testing as part of screenings for chronic kidney disease in people with high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes, helping identify risks for heart attacks or strokes. The ad will debut during Super Bowl LX on February 8.
Spencer emphasized the importance of early detection: ‘Your body could be sending out an SOS if your kidneys are malfunctioning and you wanna answer the call. And while that sounds like it’s scary, the way to detect it is easy.’
Just last week, Vergara turned heads at the premiere of Paris Hilton’s documentary Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir. She wore a strapless leather dress that accentuated her figure, with her dark hair styled in soft waves. At the event, she mingled with guests like model Heidi Klum, sharing a photo of them enjoying popcorn side by side in the theater.
