Ellie Goulding, the 39-year-old pop star, has parted ways with her management company as she prepares for a musical comeback and the birth of her first child with boyfriend Beau Minniear.
The award-winning artist is developing her sixth studio album, which draws inspiration from her brief marriage to art dealer Caspar Jopling, 34, father to their four-year-old son, Arthur. Following her 2023 release Higher Than Heaven, this untitled project marks a significant return.
Management Changes and Family Focus
Goulding joined TaP Management in 2018, aligning with talents like Dua Lipa and Lana Del Rey. Reports indicate she ended the partnership late last year to prioritize her growing family, with her second child expected soon. As she enters this new phase, emphasis remains on her role as a key figure in UK music.
Officials close to the matter highlight her status as a global talent deserving top-tier support. Goulding revealed her pregnancy on the red carpet at the Fashion Awards in early December, appearing heavily pregnant alongside Minniear.
The Divorce Album: Personal Reflections
In a recent interview, Goulding described the album’s evolution: “It had always been the goal to start this album. I didn’t know it was going to be a divorce album, but that’s the way it started heading.” She married Jopling, grandson of former Conservative MP Michael Jopling, at York Minster in 2019, believing the union would last a lifetime.
Reflecting on the process, she noted: “When I married my ex-husband, I thought it was for life. That will never go away.” Some tracks honor that chapter respectfully, while others capture raw, immediate emotions. Goulding shared that the marriage’s end influenced her creative process even before recording began. On the day she met producer Jack Antonoff, she disclosed the separation: “I knew that my marriage wasn’t working out; it was dark times… the day I met Jack was the day I was like, ‘Jack, I should be candid with you. Today, my husband and I decided we’re going to separate.'”
Despite the intimate themes, Jopling supports the project. Goulding stated: “My label, my friends—everyone’s behind it. And even my ex-husband loves the songs… well, he hasn’t heard all the songs.”
New Beginnings in Love
Goulding’s relationship with Minniear became public in September 2025. The couple vacationed in Italy, where Minniear posted a personal photo of Goulding in a hotel bed. He also features in intimate scenes in her recent music video for “Destiny.”
Meanwhile, Jopling has sparked rumors of a romance with Olivia Wilde. At the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, Wilde shared Instagram photos embracing a mystery man, later identified as Jopling. The images, captioned “I Want Your Sex & The Invite Park City 4vrrrr,” tie to her new erotic comedy thriller premiering there. The pair were first spotted together in London last October, following Wilde’s split from Harry Styles over three years ago.
