Kaley Cuoco shares her straightforward take on Ashley Tisdale’s recent controversy involving a ‘toxic’ mom group during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
Cuoco’s Direct Advice on the Show
The 40-year-old actress, mother to two-year-old daughter Matilda with fiancé Tom Pelphrey, addressed the issue while promoting her new thriller series Vanished. Responding to a fan question, Cuoco stated, “I mean, if you don’t like being part of a group, just leave, baby.”
Host Andy Cohen agreed, adding, “Right?” Cuoco continued, “I don’t think we have to talk about it.” When Cohen referenced writing an essay about the drama, she replied, “You don’t have to do that. Just leave… find a new group.”
Guest Erika Jayne from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills supported the view, saying, “Find someone else,” with Cuoco affirming, “Yeah.”
Tisdale’s Essay Sparks Debate
Ashley Tisdale, also 40, detailed her fallout with a group of Hollywood moms in a recent essay for The Cut. She shares daughters Jupiter, four, and Emerson, one, with husband Christopher French.
Tisdale explained, “To be clear, I have never considered the moms to be bad people (maybe one). But I do think our group dynamic stopped being healthy and positive — for me anyway.” Fans speculated the essay targeted a circle including Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor, and Mandy Moore, though a representative for Tisdale denied this. The piece followed her unfollowing Duff and Moore on Instagram.
Cuoco’s Mom Squad Celebrates Support
Shortly after Tisdale’s essay gained attention, Cuoco’s own mom friends highlighted their positive dynamic. Actress Ashley Jones shared photos with Cuoco, Lacey Chabert, Ali Fedotowsky, and Kimberley J. Brown, writing, “Mom groups are having a real moment on the interweb this week. Shoutout to my village, without whom I could be very lost and lonely. Tag your supportive ride or die mom group!”
She added hashtags like #lifteachother and #womensupportingwomen, noting gratitude for their bond through various life stages.
