Federal contractor who allegedly stole $46 million in crypto arrested in Caribbean, FBI says

A federal contractor accused of stealing $46 million in cryptocurrency was arrested within the Caribbean, the FBI introduced.

John Daghita was nabbed Wednesday evening by legislation enforcement on the island of Saint Martin, FBI Director Kash Patel mentioned on social media. Photographs posted on-line by the FBI and Saint Martin police present Daghita, who allegedly stole the crypto from the U.S Marshals Service, being taken away in handcuffs with a swimming pool seen within the background. “FBI will proceed working 24/7 with our worldwide companions to trace down, apprehend, and convey to justice those that try to defraud American taxpayers—regardless of the place they attempt to disguise,” Patel mentioned.
