A 31-year-old Brazilian beauty queen, Maiara Cristina de Lima Fiel, has died following a sudden heart attack. The married mother of one had no prior health issues and was preparing to compete in a regional pageant on April 29.
Tragic Circumstances
Paramedics worked for over an hour to revive Maiara after she suffered cardiac arrest, but efforts failed. She had completed rehearsals, interviews, and finalized her outfits for the competition just days before the incident.
Maiara held the title of Miss Londrina from the previous year and finished as runner-up in the 2025/26 Miss Sarandi pageant.
Tributes from Organizers and Fans
Vitor Tavares, organizer of the upcoming contest, shared his grief on social media. “She was such a committed, dedicated young woman,” Tavares stated. He recalled meeting her late last year when she confirmed her participation as Miss Londrina.
Tavares noted her passion: “From that moment, it was clear how seriously she took this dream.” He mentioned their conversation the day before her death, where she showcased her carefully prepared dresses.
“When I received the news, I was in shock. It took me a while to believe it,” Tavares continued. “Many people confirmed her passing, but I kept telling myself: it can’t be true… I spoke with her yesterday.”
He described her as “full of life, dreams, and goals,” adding, “It is very difficult to accept such an early loss of someone with such a beautiful future ahead.” Tavares offered condolences: “May God receive Maiara as she deserves, with all the light she always carried, and may she continue to shine even more. May God give strength and comfort to her family and friends.”
Fans echoed the sentiments online. Matilde Nunes wrote, “My thoughts are with her family and friends. May God give her eternal rest.”
Levia Soares commented, “Rest in peace. May her departure serve as a warning to us to look after our health.” Leo Leal added, “Life is like that. We get up and have no idea what awaits us in the next 24 hours. My condolences to the family.”
