Disgraced former North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn was arrested in Florida – simply days after it emerged he’s plotting a return to Congress.
The 28-year-old Republican was arrested early Wednesday at his new house in Cape Coral after being a no-show in courtroom over a quotation final month for driving with no legitimate license, in response to GulfCoastNewsNow.
His reps confirmed that he “was arrested … for failure to look for a routine site visitors infraction.”
“Madison retains a really busy schedule and, because of a scheduling misunderstanding, didn’t seem in courtroom this morning,” his reps mentioned.
“Following processing Madison was instantly launched.”
Cawthorn was booked and launched on a $2,000 bond, in response to the Lee County Sheriff’s Workplace.
