Jimmy Bullard appears poised for a tense reunion with rival Adam Thomas at the live I’m A Celebrity final on Friday. Sources indicate Bullard intends to share his side of a heated clash from last year’s Bushtucker Trial in South Africa.
Origins of the Feud
The conflict erupted during a team challenge in Kruger National Park. Bullard declined to participate, endangering Thomas’s position on the show as they were paired together. Thomas, 37, reacted with fury, shouting, “Jimmy, are you f***ing taking the p***? I am in there getting covered in f***ing ants.”
Bullard responded calmly, “Woah, calm down. That’s pathetic.” The incident led Bullard to exit the series abruptly, uttering the iconic phrase “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here.” Reports suggest the pair remain estranged and not on speaking terms.
Hosts Ant and Dec confirmed Bullard’s attendance on Thursday, dispelling rumors of his absence. Insiders reveal he faces a potential 20 percent fee deduction for skipping the event. Sources close to Bullard state he plans to speak freely, unbound by network expectations: “Jimmy knows the truth about what happened. He’s ready to tell his story.” They describe it as the “ultimate sweet revenge.”
Beverley Callard Absent on Medical Advice
One original contestant, Beverley Callard, 69, will miss the final due to medical recommendations. She withdrew from the pre-recorded series after a health scare and later received an early-stage breast cancer diagnosis.
In an Instagram video from her Dublin home, Callard explained: “Yesterday, I should have flown to England to get ready for the I’m A Celeb final. I was so excited and looking forward to it but on medical advice, I can’t go, I am absolutely gutted. I was dying to see them all and it would have been brilliant. I can’t go and yesterday, the flights were booked and everything but no, they said, it is basically too long a day with flying there and then a very late night, so here I am. I will be watching and I will be on Zoom chatting to everybody. So I’ve got to make the best of a bad job but I am resting and I am doing as I am told. Thanks to everybody.”
Her caption read: “A last minute change of plans…Absolutely gutted but I know it’s for the best. Resting up and getting well is more important at the moment.”
The I’m A Celebrity live final airs Friday at 7:30 p.m. on ITV.
