Amid efforts to spice up the native economic system within the Los Angeles area, officers on Tuesday introduced the “LA Is Open” initiative, a so-called “restoration marketing campaign” aimed toward selling the tourism trade and supporting small companies impacted by January’s fires.
“L.A. Is Open” is meant to sign that Los Angeles is open for enterprise, resilient and able to welcome guests from all over the world, in line with officers.
The initiative is an overarching marketing campaign linking and showcasing different applications with the identical aim reminiscent of Store LA, Dine LA and Uncover LA.
The marketing campaign is being facilitated by the Los Angeles County Financial Improvement Company in partnership with the county’s Division of Financial Alternative, L.A.’s Financial & Workforce Improvement Division, in addition to the California Group Basis, amongst others.
On Monday, Mayor Karen Bass mentioned the marketing campaign alongside Dee Dee Myers, a senior adviser to Gov. Gavin Newsom; Kelly LoBianco, director of the county’s DEO; and LAEDC President and CEO Stephen Cheung.

Cheung added the restoration marketing campaign displays what he described because the “collective dedication” for the area to rise stronger than ever after a tumultuous yr.
“The marketing campaign is not only about restoration; it’s about renewal,” Cheung mentioned in a press release. “We’re bringing collectively private and non-private companions to showcase the resilience, creativity and alternative take make Los Angeles not like anywhere on the planet.”
