Persil and Comfort introduce a groundbreaking detergent and conditioner duo that simplifies laundry routines and helps households cut costs. Unilever presents this as the first detergent optimized for smart washing machines equipped with auto-dosing technology.
How Auto-Dosing Technology Saves Money and Effort
Smart washing machines automatically calculate the precise amount of liquid needed based on load weight and soil level, preventing wasteful overdosing. This feature reduces excess usage and lowers expenses over time.
“It will save you money because instead of overdosing, you will get the precise dose that the machine will calculate for the amount of soil, for the amount of the weight, because the machine will weigh, let’s say, how much clothing you have,” explained Andrea Parra Vera from Unilever’s research and development team. “But the magic of the Smart Series is that you will actually get the chemistry thought to perform for that load as well.”
Addressing Smart Home Challenges
Unilever’s survey of 1,279 smart device owners reveals that seven in ten feel overwhelmed managing their technology. Additionally, 36 percent report spending more than an hour daily on maintenance, totaling nearly eight hours weekly.
Key Features and Partnership
Unilever partners with Samsung to trial the Smart Series for Persil and Comfort brands, compatible with any washing machine. The products synchronize with auto-dose systems for accurate dosing, superior stain removal, enduring fragrance, and anti-clogging formulas that support machine longevity.
The Persil detergent provides up to 51 washes, while the Comfort conditioner offers 46 washes.
“Smart home tech is reshaping daily life, but many consumers feel overwhelmed by managing it all,” stated Tati Lindenberg, Chief Marketing Officer for Unilever Home Care. “Smart Series is designed to work in harmony with auto dose machines, delivering top results every time and taking one more decision off busy households’ plates.”
