For the past six years, actor Callum Woodhouse has captivated audiences with his memorable performance as Tristan Farnon in the popular drama All Creatures Great and Small. The 32-year-old has been a prominent figure in the Channel 5 series since 2020, appearing alongside a talented ensemble cast.
Fans of the beloved period drama will soon see Woodhouse in a completely different light as he takes on a significant new role in an upcoming stage production. Next month, audiences can anticipate seeing Woodhouse perform in Game of Thrones: The Mad King, a brand-new theatrical adaptation set to premiere at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. The play is scheduled to run from July 20 to September 5, 2026.
Details of the Stage Production
Based on George R. R. Martin’s renowned novels, the stage play has been adapted by Duncan Macmillan and will be directed by Dominic Cooke. The Royal Shakespeare Company has unveiled the full cast list for the production, confirming Woodhouse’s involvement. He is set to portray the formidable Lord Robert Baratheon.
The ensemble cast also includes Maxim Ays as Ser Jaime Lannister, Mariah Gale as Queen Rhaella Targaryen, Huw Parmenter as Ser Oswell Whent, Michael Shaeffer as King Aerys II Targaryen, and Richard Hansell as Grand Maester Pycelle.
