Next month, audiences can anticipate seeing Woodhouse perform in Game of Thrones: The Mad King, a brand-new theatrical adaptation set to premiere at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. Based on George R. R. Martin’s renowned novels, the stage play has been adapted by Duncan Macmillan and will be directed by Dominic Cooke. The Royal Shakespeare Company has unveiled the full cast list for the production, confirming Woodhouse’s involvement. He is set to portray the formidable Lord Robert Baratheon.
The ensemble cast also includes Maxim Ays as Ser Jaime Lannister, Mariah Gale as Queen Rhaella Targaryen, Huw Parmenter as Ser Oswell Whent, Michael Shaeffer as King Aerys II Targaryen, and Richard Hansell as Grand Maester Pycelle.
