Over 550 celebrities in the US relaunched the Committee for the First Modification, a bunch initially shaped through the post-World Conflict II Pink Scare.
The group’s intent is to defend American constitutional rights, saying, “The federal authorities is as soon as once more engaged in a coordinated marketing campaign to silence critics within the authorities, the media, the judiciary, academia, and the leisure trade.”
The Committee for the First Modification is led by actress and activist Jane Fonda, whose father, actor Henry Fonda, was one of many early members of the primary Committee for the First Modification.
