FY26 Financial Highlights and Operational Achievements

The company’s financial results for FY26 underscore a period of strong growth and operational efficiency. Key financial metrics include:

  • Net Revenue: $39.8 million, a 17% increase compared to the previous year.
  • Statutory and Underlying EBITDA: $21.8 million, up 26% year-on-year.
  • Net Profit After Tax (NPAT): $8.8 million, representing a 35% increase.

Operationally, LGI achieved significant milestones in its core business areas. Biogas flows increased by 33% to reach 170.2 million cubic meters, directly contributing to a 29% rise in renewable energy generation, which totalled 140.8 gigawatt-hours (GWh). The company also declared a fully-franked total dividend of 2.6 cents per share, a 4% increase from the prior year.

Strategic Expansion in Renewable Energy and Carbon Abatement

Beyond its financial performance, LGI demonstrated a clear commitment to expanding its environmental impact and renewable energy capacity. During FY26, the company launched eight new carbon abatement projects, which contributed to a 9% year-on-year growth in its contracted site portfolio. This expansion is crucial for its emissions reduction footprint.

To fuel this growth, LGI successfully completed a $56.3 million capital raising. This strategic financial move has bolstered its project pipeline, enabling it to pursue high-conviction projects with a combined capacity exceeding 80 megawatts (MW). Furthermore, the company enhanced its financial flexibility by renegotiating and expanding its debt facility to $82.5 million, a significant 66% increase over the previous limit.

A notable aspect of LGI’s operational success is its ability to secure premium pricing for its electricity. The company’s operational platform delivered a realised electricity price approximately 35% above the market average. This achievement highlights LGI’s effective risk management strategies and the strong market demand for its renewable energy solutions.

Management Commentary on Performance and Strategy

Jarryd Doran, Chief Executive Officer of LGI, expressed satisfaction with the company’s performance in FY26. He highlighted that the company exceeded its key operational targets, with biogas recovery increasing by 33%, Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) created rising by 18%, and renewable energy generation from its power stations growing by 29%.

Doran attributed the strong financial results, including the 17% increase in net revenue and approximately 26% rise in underlying EBITDA, to the company’s robust operational performance and sound business model. He specifically noted the company’s agility in managing ACCU creation volumes, which helped to offset fluctuations in the electricity market throughout the year.

Looking ahead, Doran emphasized that the groundwork laid in FY26, particularly the registration and commencement of carbon abatement across eight new sites, provides a solid foundation for sustained growth. Coupled with the capital raising completed in October 2025, LGI is well-positioned to advance its strategy of expanding its generation capacity pipeline to over 80MW.

Future Outlook and Growth Initiatives

LGI is actively pursuing further growth opportunities, with construction currently underway on its Canberra and Belrose battery projects. These projects are expected to significantly contribute to the company’s managed capacity, bringing the total to at least 45MW in FY27.

The company projects that its biogas and carbon credit operations will achieve a compound annual growth rate of approximately 10% over the next three years. LGI’s strategic focus remains on developing and deploying flexible, scalable renewable energy projects. The company is diligently progressing several development approvals and grid connection processes for its pipeline of high-potential projects.

With its strengthened capital base and expanded debt facility, LGI is strategically positioned to execute its ambitious plans, aiming to reach over 80MW of renewable energy capacity. This expansion is central to its long-term strategy of becoming a leading player in the renewable energy sector.

Market Performance Context

While LGI has reported strong operational and financial results, its share price has experienced a decline over the past 12 months, down 39% and underperforming the broader All Ordinaries Index (ASX: XAO). This performance context is important for investors assessing the company’s current market valuation relative to its fundamental growth trajectory.
